My Favorite Serve Boards

It is no secret that I love to throw a tray of food together. There’s no occasion too small for a tray of themed food. I’ve done them for dinner parties, movie nights, lunch days for the kids and even little mini’s for myself. They’re just so pretty and fun to pick through. For a majority of my occasions, I have a few boards that are my tried and true. The boards that I grab right away and they didn’t cost a fortune. I did spend a small fortune on a heart board for Valentine’s Day and I ONLY use it during that time. It was stupid and a waste of money. You don’t need a ton of different boards to create themed trays. See my creations below.

This round tray is huge. It’s 20 inches in diameter and I use it for bigger parties and events where I need a lot of space for a lot of food. I use it most often with my fondue set. My neighbor bought the same one and uses it for a centerpiece with candles and floral arrangements. It was well worth the price.

This long rectangular tray is my latest obsession. I use it for more formal gatherings and it fits the entire space of my buffet table. It comes in two sizes and I have the large. It’s huge and it’s heavy. When I want to make it “seasonal” I just add some faux pumpkins, sprigs of rosemary or colorful cookies and candies that match the occasion.

When I want to make a smaller board, like say, for the boys, I use this one. It’s 18 inches in diameter and fits just enough for a few people. I’ve used it for outdoor movies and s’mores nights to hold the basics. It’s also great on the kitchen counter to display your cooking essentials like salt and pepper, olive oils, and your butter. I also have this one that is basically the same dimensions, just with a handle.

Sometimes I crave a little charcuterie tray but I don’t want to create a huge board with tons of food. I use this one for single serving sizes. It’s also great for desserts for two and sometimes I display it on my counter with a candle and a bud vase of little flowers.

I don’t have this one for myself but I bought it for a couple as a wedding gift. They raved about the quality of the board and the monogram was a special touch.

This 28 inch long paddle is a few inches shorter than my huge one (which is 30 inches long) but I love the dark wood and the handle. I don’t need another board though.

Are you a fan of the serve board? I just think they’re so much fun to put together. Maybe this will help you find some boards that become your favorite!
