Boo Breakfast

I used to entertain quite a bit. My entertaining would always include fine china, crystal and wine. One thing it didn’t include was children. Things are a little different these days and hosting parties with breakables just isn’t in the forecast anytime soon. So now, I entertain my boys. For Halloween, I did a SUPER simple Boo Breakfast. It took about 30 minutes start to finish and my boys were full and ready to go for the day. It’s all about presentation…

Menu:

  • Boonanas and fruit
  • Ghost Toast
  • Sausage
  • Donut Holes

I found the “munsta” at HomeGoods. It’s a pretty deep bowl so I shoved tin foil down in the bottom before adding the fruit. I made BOOnana’s by cutting them in half and squishing chocolate chips for the eyes and mouth.

I found the open-mouth bat in the Target dollar spot. I heated up some sausage that was in our freezer and scattered those around. The ghost toast is a version of eggs in a nest that my mom used to make for me when I was a kid.

Directions:

  • Spray your baking sheet.
  • Butter your bread.
  • Use a cookie cutter make a hole in the middle of your bread.
  • Crack an egg inside.
  • Place on baking sheet and put in 350 degree oven until eggs are cooked through (I usually toast the small pieces as well but have to remove them sooner or they’ll burn)

The open mouth ghost and web table runner came from Target Dollar Spot as well. I had my husband grab some donuts from Dunkin’ when he went to make his coffee run.
