We had such a simple Fourth of July this year. I made this red, white and blue fruit tray that you could make just about all summer! Super simple. For the fruit skewers:
- shish kabob skewers
- watermelon
- blueberries
- strawberries
- mini star cookie cutters
All I did was cut the strawberries in half and cut some stars out of the watermelon. Then I started layering the fruit on the skewers in no particular order.

Now for the fruit dip. It was only four ingredients and it tasted like frosting from a red velvet cake.
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Fold in the whipping cream. You’re done!

Simple, easy, festive. Who doesn’t love fresh fruit and a little dipping sauce?
Enjoy!
