Living in Florida for most of my life, eating outside ten months out of the year is just something that I did. I never thought about living someplace else where there may be seasons. You know, like cold? And snow? Now that I live in Maryland, I yearn for the days when it’s warm enough to set the patio table. This year, we invested in getting the backyard filled in with a beautiful stone and added some nice furniture. We are outside all the time now – well, when it’s warm anyway. We’ve had dinners, outdoor movies, s’mores nights, parties…being outside gives us energy and life.
This year, the weather for the Fourth of July was perfect. Eighty five degrees and a breeze. Perfect weather for outdoor dining. Setting an all American table was fun and easy and I used many pieces that I already had on hand.
